Babies grow up quickly; it's important to capture the happiness and beauty of your child as he or she grows from day to day. If you just had a newborn you know how surreal that moment was. It was no longer just "the two of you". And let's face it, you are probably a little tired. With all the new jobs you have taken on, photography sometimes takes a back seat to more important jobs like feeding and changing diapers. Yet, these pictures are what most mom's and dad's have been imagining since they found out they were pregnant.
By bringing professional studio lighting and backdrops into the comfort or your home, Travis makes capturing this amazing time in your baby’s life easy and fun. The relaxed sessions usually last about 60-90 minutes. During the photo shoot, the parents primary “job” is simple...love your baby and leave the rest to Travis! Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 14 days when they are still so tiny.
Tips for getting great pictures
- Be aware of your baby's mood - Try not to plan a photo session when you know your baby is usually cranky or crying.
- When does your baby feed - Plan your photo session right after you are done feeding. Babies are usually in a good mood then.
- Get rid of any distractions - TV, people, moving objects can all distract your baby.
- Nap time - Plan around nap time.
- Props - Bring some of your favorite little toys or objects out to add to the photo shoot. Even mom & dad make good props in pictures!
